Timeshare Concept

The timeshare concept was introduced to the Resort in 1984.

Shearwater Resort is a fully sold out timeshare resort with an allocation of 2499 timeshare week intervals amounting to in excess of 2000 members.

The Resort consists of 49 units ranging from studio units to 2 bedroom apartments with the sleeping capacity per room ranging between 2 to 8 people.

Resort facilities include a 9 hole golf course, indoor heated pools, spa, sauna, gymnasium, bikes, tennis and half court tennis, squash and racquet ball and many other facilities.

How To Buy

As the Resort is fully sold out, timeshare intervals can only be purchased from an existing owner.

From time to time, an owner may advise the Resort´s Club Co-ordinator, that they may wish to sell their timeshare. Enquiries in relation to the purchase of a timeshare
Resale week can be directed to the Club Co-ordinator at the Resort .

Types of Ownership

Timeshare week intervals are either fixed or floating. Details of the breakdown of the seasons can be obtained from the Club Co-ordinator.

Fixed weeks are where a member purchases a particular week in a particular room and must use that particular week/room each year

Floating weeks have the flexibility of the week being taken at other times of the year and are related to the member´s type of unit but are not specific to a particular room.

Use of Timeshare

Owners can :

Use their designated time each year at the Resort
Utilise the rental pool by placing their week in the rental pool system
Exchange the week by placing the week with a timeshare exchange company

Resort Layout

The Resort lies on 30 hectares of land opposite Freers Beach.

Two 2 story buildings house 49 fully self contained apartments.

Numerous recreational activities are located throughout the resort.

The resort also contains a bistro, alfresco eating and entertainment area, lounge bar, sports bar, gaming room, bottle shop and function rooms.

The Shearwater Resort has a total of 49 fully self contained units made up of studio, one and two bedroom apartments, all modern and tastefully furnished.

Most apartments have views of the golf course.
