Our 9 hole golf course is always a popular activity:
The Golf Course sits on 16 hectares between the resort accommodation and the sea.
A pro golf shop operates on site and caters for, among other things, the hire of clubs & buggies.
The Golf Course is also the home of the Port Sorell Golf Club and regional competitions take place on Saturdays prior to 3 pm.

A popular activity all year round are our 2 heated indoor swimming pools.
The fairway pool is a rectangular pool with glassed in sun deck.
The beach pool has a spa and sauna close by.
The pools are open between 8 am − 9 pm everyday except Sunday.
Sunday operating hours are from 8 am − 8 pm.

Beautiful scenic walks along Freers Beach and Hawley Beach are framed by Narawntapu National Park and Bass Strait.
Freers beach is ideal for young children with large, warm, shallow waters abutting the sandy beaches at either high or low tide. Hawley Beach provides more waves and the entire area is used for swimming, boating, water skiing and fishing.
At low tide Penguin Island is accessible, and oysters can be found on the rocks of this tiny island.
Continue walking from Hawley Beach to the Promontory and fairy penguins can be observed.
BBQ and toilet facilities are located at various points around the beach areas.
Shearwater Resort has one full sized tennis court and one half sized tennis court. The court surface is flexi-pave and tennis rackets and balls can be obtained at reception.

Bicycle tracks run along the foreshore and throughout the area. Adults and children's bicycles are available for use by guests. Helmets are available from reception.
